Planned breeding between O'Dobhailien Armagh JH and McCann of O'Dobhailien later this month.  Both have OFA excellent hips (results are posted on the offa.org site) are CLAD clear, have normal thyroid panels including TgAa drawn within the previous 6 months and CERF eyes examines since October 2009.

Our breeding program starts with proven gun dogs. We breed to the standard of Ireland's Irish Red and White Setter Club and the Irish Red and White Setter Association. As Irish Red and White breeders we subscribe to and endorse the code of ethics and the best breeding practices as described by the Irish Red and White Setter Association, of which we are members. All of our stock is CLAD (canine luekocyte adhesion disorder) clear. We test our breeding stock within one year of being bred for normal CERF (Canine Eye Registration Foundation) eyes, and normal thyroid. Breeding stock that we use have either good or excellent OFA hips. Puppy packets containing health clearances of both parents accompany our puppies when they leave for their new homes.

We breed only from stock that is considered pure, having originated from Ireland and having been registered by the Irish Kennel Club as Irish Red and White Setters.
